Speaking of dead things...
I saw a pretty much intact dead armadillo on the side of the road today. Alex wanted me to stop and bring it home, but then we realized that they're nocturnal, so it must have been in the 100° heat all day. Maybe well see one at night some time (I would say the population seems to be growing, but since I've only seen dead ones so far, that really might not be the case), I really want a dead armadillo.

Current Mood: melancholymelancholy

Watch out, 'cause armadillos can carry leprosy. My g-grandmother used to dry them and make baskets out of their shells, but I will have to find out the non-leprosy way of doing this.

I saw a dead armadillo near our neighborhood a few months ago, still intact, near the curb. Slowly, the body decayed and was dragged around by the other animals. It was cool!
Eventually it started to smell like cheese and every time I took the dogs out for a walk they wanted to smell it. Not so cool. But still kind of cool. Hope Athens is treating you well James.
